Have you ever been stuck here????

I absolutely detest having to buy greeting cards,
especially for people I'm not particularly close to.
They never reflect the feelings I have very accurately.
For instance,
cards for brothers.
Don't get me wrong.
I love my brothers.
But the soppy, gooey
"Don't we share wonderful memories?!"
cards????
Nope.
Sorry.
Not us.
I think I'll start writing my own line of cards.
Name it
"Keep it real!"

I love the cartoon. It is overwhelming to buy cards, when there is so much to choose from. Over here, it´s just Happy Birthday or Anniversary with a bible verse. If there´s no choice....you take whatever there is, or you write your own.

I LOVE to buy cards for my parents and my kids. But when it comes to Father's Day, Anniversaries or Birthdays I have a hard time with getting my husband a card. Not a single one describes our relationship.
I also hate how birthday cards talk about how much a person has done for me, how much they mean to me etc...how about a simple "I love you and I am so happy you are on this earth because you're YOU and not because you do things for me". I get irritated. :)
I'll buy your cards.

I just have to spend a little time selecting the proper card for the proper person, who is close to me. Luckily, there is a big selection out.

I prefer to buy cards that are blank inside, so that I can write my own missive. Or, better yet, cream-colored note cards, with an embossed edge, a la Tiffany's in the '50s. My Mom taught me the art of the Thank You Note. I've passed that skill along to my girls. Fingers crossed!
