Curiosity killed the cat...

I always wonder what the author had to say that made them delete their own comment.
It's one of Life's little mysteries here in the Blogosphere.
It drives me crazy.

With Statcounter you can see outclicks; it drives me crazy to see someone clicked to make a comment and then never did. Things that make you go "hmmm".

I deleted a couple of comments on someone´s blog, just a little while ago. But it was due to the fact that, because I was too impatient, I had pressed the "Publish" button too many times and my comment posted 3 times. But I´m sure that´s not what your meant.... :) Drives me crazy too!

typos mostly for me.

but don't you have copies of all comments sent to you via email? you'll even see the deleted ones.

Interesting question, and one I have wondered about. When I have deleted a comment it has been because of typos.

I have deleted a few times because I realized that I asked a question that the blog author had discussed in the post.
Didn't want to get a reply of - "Didn't you read the post!"
Comes from skimming instead of reading.
