Just because everything is different doesn't mean anything has changed. ~ Irene Peter

When I began this blog back around the year 2000 it became a labor of love and a legacy to pass on to my two grandsons someday, once they entered the picture.  I began taking care of each of them a month after they were born when my daughter-in-law went back to work, and I decided I'd basically journal about their lives on a blog, pretty much day-to-day, to one day 'gift' them with a record of their infancy and toddlerhood.  I did that, and this is the result.  It's lived its purpose; it's time to put it to rest.  I'm in the process at the moment as I write this of having it put into book form and published for them so they each have a copy that I'll give them in the future when I feel the time is right.  I'll also have my own copy.

I haven't written regularly on here for a long time but I've started a new blog to chronicle this next chapter of my life...growing older in this age-obsessed world.  I'm hoping it will help others like me who are content with sitting back and letting their hair turn gray, sipping on iced tea on the glider and watching the world go by.  My philosophy is "Life is too short" and I'm not going to waste it worrying about what the next guy thinks of me.  Been there, done that.  What time I have left on this ol' world is going to be quality time.

So, here is a link to my new blog.  I hope some of my readers who read this one so faithfully in the past will find me.  If you do, please leave a comment and say hi...I'll be so thrilled to hear from you.

God bless.
