For me...for my 54th birthday

I Am I See

I am a child born of snowdrops
in a land
where
raindrops
rule
the skies.
I am mid-century woman
and
I am a
child
of the ‘60s.
I am Mother and Wife.
Friend
and Foe.
I am Fire
and I am Ice.
I am changeless
and then
I change
yet again.
Where rivers run deepest
is where
I dwell,
in the dark waters
where shadows dance
in the passing
light.
I am passion and I am pain.
I see peace
in
the ocean’s
rage.
I see freedom on
the wings of
the osprey.
I am the daughter of
sorrows
who found forgiveness
in the end.
I am a woman
and in my hands
I see
time.
I see years of
a Life well-lived.
I see me
and I see
serenity.

you're a day early stinker!
I know I've said this before but HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :)
Tomorrow I'm going out to shoot some snow photos with my new camera...you'll have to come by Flickr and check them out. We got about 5 inches today but now it's melting! AT NIGHT! geesh.
Love you Kris! I really hope you enjoy your day.

Hi Kris!
As we're speedily headed into 2008, It occurs to me that we've known of each since 2005. That's a long while. I've had many stops with my journal, but yours lasted the duration. It was a comfort to me each time I re-began my journal to have you welcome me back with open arms.

It's sad to see you move on, but I understand that sometimes one must move on to grow.

I really enjoyed your poetry. It's so expressive and enlightening. Your poetry and thoughts always are. That's why I try to visit you each day.

I just wanted to stop in and wish you & your family a wonderful safe & Happy New Year!

Take care, my friend.
Dee

All the pretty snow melted by the time we got out there but it was still a worthwhile outing :)
I hope you're having a Blessed birthday!
