Birthdays...yesterday and today...

Could it possibly be? 34 years ago yesterday I gave birth to my daughter. 32 years ago today I gave birth to my son. In this photo they're the same ages as my grandsons are now, 2 and 4.

I remember spending the day with my Mom on my oldest brother's 40th birthday. All day long she kept saying, "I can't believe I'm the mother of a 40-year-old son!"

I know exactly how she felt.

Our two are on the verge of becoming fortysomethings. I cannot believe I'm old enough to have children that age. There must be some mistake, somewhere.

I think having my son turn 40 was harder for me than any of my own birthdays. I love the picture of your little ones.

I look at my very young ones and can't believe others my age have children in college!!

But I went through all of the effort to comment (ha!) because in this picture your daughter looks just like you. I hope the two of them are still close!

Hoping for a fun and amazing day for all of you!! And lots of cake!

Your son looked like Dylan does now. At first I thought he was sitting on the couch.
Happy Birthday to your son and daughter!
