It's what you learn after you know it all that counts. ~ Attributed to Harry S. Truman

I met a wonderful internet friend named Esther yesterday who drove all the way down to Portland from the Tacoma area so we could meet before I head off for Michigan. We spent a couple of hours over breakfast at lunchtime, saying hello....getting to know each other....and saying goodbye in one fell swoop. I wasn't feeling the greatest and when I told her about my infection she told me she'd read some home remedies for various maladies and she knew urinary tract infections had been mentioned in it. She said she'd look it up when she got home and send it to me, which she did. And you can bet from now on I'll have Alka-Seltzer on hand:

Ouch! That is the pits. Another home remedy, preventive really, is cranberry juice. I have early warning symptoms. When I do, I up water consumption and start drinking cranberry juice. It may simply be like the placebo-effect, but I don't care. If it wards off the misery of UTI, I'll keep guzzling.

Hope you are back 100% soon.

Hi Kris, Glad you're feeling better.

Years ago, I discovered the Alka Seltzer remedy. The last urinary infection I had was over 5 years ago, but you bet I got that Alka Selzer at the first sign of discomfort! Within a few hours, I was almost back to normal.

I think our bodies get run down quicker than we realise when we've so much to do and we're not paying attention and .... you've had LOADS to do lately Kris.
